Studio GEOMETR, founded by Linda Kaplanová and Klára Spišková, focuses on the creation of original textiles for architecture. The design duo approaches textiles as an autonomous medium capable of shaping the atmosphere of a space. Their work combines craftsmanship with a distinctive artistic signature while responding to the functional demands of interiors—working with light, acoustics, and scale.

The studio’s practice opens up possibilities for architects to engage with textiles as an active component of design rather than merely a decorative addition. Their projects range from singular tapestries to broader interior applications—from sliding panels and upholstery to integration within furniture elements. The textiles are produced through a combination of machine weaving, developed in collaboration with Tkalcovna Kubák, and handcrafting in the studio’s workshop in the Orlické foothills, allowing them to respond to different scales and specific project conditions.

A characteristic aspect of their work is the interplay of structure and image, where painting interwoven with yarn changes depending on the angle of view and becomes a dynamic element of the space. In this way, Studio GEOMETR introduces into architecture a material that, beyond its aesthetic quality, significantly shapes spatial perception and atmosphere.
