František Jungvirt

Glass artist, designer, and glass painter František Jungvirt combines the tradition of Czech glassmaking with contemporary design. A graduate of the Glass Studio at UMPRUM in Prague, under the leadership of Rony Plesl, he develops cohesive collections under his own brand, františek jungvirt, distinguished by a strong and recognizable signature. His work brings together simple forms, colour, and hand-shaped motifs. He is currently among the most successful creators of his generation, with collectors across the globe. A key factor in his success lies in his ability to effectively build on significant historical references while introducing a modern twist. Equally important is his capacity to reflect philosophical themes through his art collections, whether exploring the relationship to nature or the finitude of life.

Jungvirt has long collaborated with architects, and his objects complement projects by studios such as 0,5 Studio and Miaow architekti. Selected vases have also refined interiors including the Volman Villa and the Four Seasons Hotel. His current portfolio, including design vases and lighting objects, is now fully complemented by visualisations and 3D models that can be directly used in projects and client presentations—offering a precise visual understanding of the final effect of Jungvirt’s glass within an interior.
