Výminek

Set on the edge of the production campus of Eko modular, a Czech manufacturer specializing in prefabricated modular timber buildings, the Výminek is a demonstration house that reinterprets a traditional Czech housing typology through contemporary timber construction. Historically, a výminek was a detached secondary dwelling built on a family property to accommodate older generations after they had passed the main household on to their children. Today, Czech building regulations continue to support this type of compact secondary home through a simplified permitting process, creating new opportunities for multigenerational living and more space-efficient ways of building.
